The Story Behind Paris Restaurant in Anacortes

Updated: Mar 5

Greetings from Paris Restaurant!

We opened November 5, and despite the crisis, we have been successful beyond expectations, while complying with all the new regulations and offering a unique dining experience.

Indeed the restaurant was created to fill a gap here. As the owner/investor, a foodie with considerable dining experience around the world, originally from Belgium, I sold my tech company last February, relocated to Anacortes, and that's how it started. We were lucky to find a great location in an historic building in downtown Anacortes, after not being accepted in the Seattle area. Our landlord, Gail, suggested that we name the restaurant Paris. Not because it is French (it is not, though we do offer French dishes along with other European food). Paris is actually the name of my wife. We were very lucky to find a great chef, Jason, a local in Anacortes who used to work for some of the top restaurants in Seattle and relocated to Skagit county as he loves this area. He established numerous partnerships with local farmers. At the same time, we have a very friendly team serving customers at our place.

We will have an Italian tasting menu later this month. We also plan on re-opening on Wednesday. Also, we now offer a 40 oz Tomahawk Steak for two. It comes with

Roasted Potato and Crème Fraiche, Grilled Carrots, Foie Gras Butter, and Truffle Demi Glace. I am looking forward to try it! Finally, the balcony railing inside is now completed.
